The listening habits of the fickle chicago dove
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10:49PM I have a problem... if your song has fuzzy guitars it's on my playlist. I've been listening to a lot of bands that have similar sounds, also sadly most of them don't have full records. Lots of hunting around and looking for what I can, it's kinda fun like old school record shopping.

Surfer Blood is from Florida, sorta funny for a "surf" band. I mean I know people surf in Florida but really come on it's sorta a west coast thing. They play Chicago November 10th at Lincoln Hall with Art Brut

Eternal Summers is a lovely duo made up of Nicole and Daniel. I found this song "lightswitch" during my trip to Hawaii and kinda set the tone for the vacation.

Beach Fossils are from Brooklyn.

Lovvers have a fun energy that would be fun to drive to if I had a car. The Lovvers play Chicago November 1st at the Hideout with Turbo Fruits.

Best Coast is one lady, Bethany Consentino and she is very lo-fi, like very.

Also been digging Girls and they are playing November 12th and 13th at the Empty Bottle, Neon Indian who has a show at Lincoln Hall October 27th, and Atlas Sound is the Bottom Lounge October 26 with Broadcast and The Selmanaires.
